Bees by Polyglot Theatre

With Nature Play

This school holidays, visit the bushland at Cranbourne Gardens for a day of bee-inspired fun and nature play.

Experience Bees by Polyglot Theatre, a world of community, communication, wonder, and imagination.

Explore a buzzing, humming hive of activity, as three human-sized bees busy themselves in the creation of a community. Join them by transforming into bees as you play.

Inspired by the mysterious life and work of bees, this interactive experience immerses you in the sounds, shapes and scents of the bee world, from their familiar buzz to their honeycomb houses. Using ritual, non-verbal communication and the secret world of bee movement, Bees provides a range of ways to engage and participate.

Before or after the performances, join the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria Learning Facilitators for all things nature play. Explore the Woodland Picnic Area Playground, offering endless opportunities to climb, balance, swing and buzz through a day of outdoor fun. Create a creature from natural materials and get creative and crafty with a range of family friendly nature-based experiences.
