The Essential Guide to Better Gardens

Join Teena Crawford and Lisa Ellis as they weave plant magic and share their love for gardens as they talk about their reference book, Plantology: The Essential Guide to Better Gardens. With more than 60 years of combined experience in horticulture and planting design, Teena and Lisa will talk about the five-year journey of writing the book and the research behind it- as well as their ultimate desire to promote the better use of plants.

Plantology features a detailed examination of more than 180 garden-worthy plant species; some are well known, and others much less so. Key to the publication is more nuanced thinking around how to choose and site plants so that the overall outcome is one where gardens look and perform better. The book also features photos of beautiful gardens designed by leading Australian landscape designers and landscape architects all of which help illustrate the observations and recommendations offered.
