Videogames and the Gardens – together at last. Join us at Greening the Screen, an experiment in game-making as a way to engage with the environment around us. Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria is partnering with Melbourne-based game and community developers, Weird Flex Studio, to create a new videogame based here in Narrm (Melbourne) with indigenous plants and animals as the stars.
Come and play with us at this afternoon in nature, exploring fun and new ways to engage with plants. Chat to developers, artists and Gardens staff, participate in nature-based activities and get the inside word on Weird Flex Studio, and Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria’s in-development videogame.
Everyone is welcome to drop in, from families to gamers to anyone interested in the intersection of technology and nature. And for Melbourne International Games Week attendees, this could be the stimulating outdoor break you need.
