Built c. 1864, this house was the home of the first Government Astronomer, Robert Ellery for 26 years.  It has been used as a contemporary art gallery since the 1980s and was the birthplace of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA).

The gallery spaces of Domain House can be leased out for exhibitions via rbg@rbg.vic.gov.au.  The Friends of Melbourne Gardens also run regular botanical illustration classes in Domain House. Visit their website for more information www.rbgfriendsmelbourne.org
