Individual bookings — walks, tours and programs

Bookings can be made by telephoning a member of the Customer Service team on 03 9252 2429 or by making a booking in person at the Visitor Centre.

Confirmed numbers

The number of participants attending the walk, tour or program for your booking must be confirmed at the time of making the booking.

Walk, tour and program bookings are not considered confirmed until payment has been received.

Payment

Payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Payment may be made:

  • in person at the Visitor Centre by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS
  • by credit card over the phone on 03 9252 2429

Rescheduling Policy

Please note that 24 hours notice is required to reschedule a booking.

Cancellation Policy

If a program is cancelled by RBG due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather conditions), the program may be rescheduled to another date or time or a full refund will be issued.

The Royal Botanic Gardens reserves the right to cancel a walk, tour or program due to an insufficient number of participants. Should a program be cancelled due to a lack of participants, the RBG will endeavour to call booked participants 24 hours prior to their scheduled tour and a full refund will be issued.

If an individual cancels a booking providing at least 24 hours notice, a full refund will be issued. If an individual cancels a booking within 24 hours of the visit or for non-attendance, a refund will not be issued.

Group bookings — walks, tours and programs

Minimum fee

Group programs have a minimum fee requirement, depending on the type of program booked. Please phone the Customer Service team on 03 9252 2429 for further details. .

Group Bookings are not considered confirmed until payment has been received.

The confirmed number of participants is required 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour.

This is the minimum number for which charges will apply.

If, on the day of your tour, the number of participants increases from those numbers provided 24 hours prior to your tour, payment for the additional people will be required.

If on the day of your tour, the number of participants decreases from those numbers indicated 24 hours prior, a refund will not be issued.

Payment

Payment in full is required at least 7 days prior to your scheduled tour.

Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

Payment may be made:

  • in person at the Visitor Centre by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS
  • by credit card over the phone on 03 9252 2429
  • by mail with cheque or money order made payable to Royal Botanic Gardens.

If your group requests to reschedule a booking providing at least 24 hours notice, an administration fee will not be charged

If your group cancels a booking providing at least 24 hours notice, a full refund will be issued less a $40.00 administration fee.

If your group cancels a booking within 24 hours of the visit or for non- attendance, a refund will not be issued.

Education bookings — walks, tours and programs

Minimum fee

A minimum charge of $196.00 (incl. GST) per class applies for each program.

Confirmed numbers

Confirmation of the number of students attending a program is required 24 hours prior to your visit. This is the minimum number for which charges will apply. A tax invoice, reflecting the confirmed number of students (or the actual number of students should the number increase) will be sent to you following your visit.

Payment

Bookings cannot be confirmed without the provision of a purchase order number.

Payment of invoice is required within 14 days of the visit.

Alternatively, payment can be made on the day in cash or by school cheque or credit card.
